ETERNAL SALVATION IS BELIEVING THAT I AM HE

John 8:24 – I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
In their spiritual infancy, Peter, Thomas, and Judas represent states that many pass through before reaching maturity in the faith. Peter and others denied Jesus out of fear of persecution. Judas was lured by the glories of this world over the love of Jesus. Thomas is well known for doubting when Jesus appeared after His resurrection. Unknown to many, it wasn’t only Thomas who doubted—many other disciples did as well:
Matthew 28:16–20 – Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Notice that even among the eleven, some still doubted. They saw and interacted with the physical manifestation of Jesus, yet they still harbored doubt. This proves that physical signs and wonders alone do not make someone a believer—it is the inner unction, the voice within, that awakens true faith. No wonder Jesus said, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” Still, Jesus commissioned them. These examples reflect the imperfections that men often exhibit as they seek the excellent knowledge of God. We must follow this example with patience and compassion, encouraging and building each other up in the faith.
The deceitfulness of material glory, the fear of persecution, and outright unbelief must be overcome by continually listening to the Spirit. Even Jesus, at Gethsemane, faced similar temptations. He said, “If it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt,” and “the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Yet He prayed intensely and was strengthened by the angel of the Lord. The angel strengthens by giving the undiluted word that empowers the inner man.
Someone may say, “I believe in Jesus; I believe He died and rose again; I believe He is Lord.” But merely saying these things may still fall short. You must see through the mirror of the Word that Jesus represents your true glorified state in the Father. You must believe that you are son of the Highest and live accordingly—by faith in the resurrected life of the Son.
Just as Jesus said, “I and the Father are one,” you too must believe that you are one with God the Father—that you are the Father manifesting Himself on earth. These are your first works, the works we are all called to return to through repentance. These are the works Jesus said you will also do.
Eternal salvation is the revelation that “I am God.” As it is written, “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Calling upon His name is not merely verbal; it is a way of living—by that name, in alignment with that identity. Those who truly see this honor will abandon the limitations of human reasoning and conform themselves to the celestial image of the Living One.
“Father, glorify me with Yourself with the glory I had with You before the world was” is the inner groaning of the true believer—one who has heard and believed the secret of their true self. The voice that replies from above, “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again,” assures us that it is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom.
Awakening the Son within is like a man who discovers a treasure of immeasurable worth buried in a field. Upon finding it, he joyfully lets go of all he once had, for nothing compares to what he has now found. Likewise, the one who awakens to the infinite power and glory within cannot help but abandon the wormlike image he once held of himself in this present age.
To rediscover the Father—the true and living God who dwells within—is to find the pearl of great price. Yet the blind of this age fail to see it. The naked and the poor, trapped in a shallow mortal sense of life, remain unaware of its presence. The knowledge of the Boundless One, who transcends law, sin, and death, is the key long lost by those imprisoned and appointed unto death. Without it, they remain captive, unaware of the living freedom that lies within.
Cast out every trace of doubt and believe the Voice of the Father, who testifies within that you are His offspring. Reach out by faith and establish yourself in the knowledge of the Lord—your life.
Blessings,
Trevor

Can a sunbeam from the sun claim to be the sun? Even though all of the sunbeam is the sun, can the sunbeam claim to be the sun. Can I say I am God? This is my problem in understanding …..Can the son of God say he is God, even though he is made only of the Light and Love of God. Being One with God I understand intellectually, but surely it is a mistake to take the credit and say”I am GOD” ?
